The Gallery mimmoscognamiglio arte contemporanea began its activity inside the cultural comprehensive view of Naples on december of 1995. The human experience and the visual practice acquired working with Lucio Amelio, more than ten years, gave to Mimmo Scognamiglio the possibility to define a personal exposition line. The space of the Gallery, opened as "Galleria Scognamiglio e Teano", became an important point of reference for national ed international artists and for many young artists. The Gallery often organizes meetings and seminaries about themes of art and culture and collaborates with avantgarde publishers. Every year Mimmo Scognamiglio takes part in international art fiers in Italy and is involved to organize exhibitions in public and private spaces . On november 2000 the Gallery became "mimmoscognamiglio arte contemporanea".On march 2002 with Antony Gormley's personal exhibition, It inaugurated the project "Le verita' svelate": a cycle of exhibitions inspired by Raimondo De Sangro's patronage and scientific activity, Prince S. Severo. Verità svelateis a cycle of exhibitions inspired to Raimondo de Sangro, a prestigious figure of the artistic and cultural history of Naples in the 18th century, probably one of the most multi-talented. His incredible versatility of interests - scientific, artistic and literary - suggested me the idea to centralize about his figure (and about the many spaces of research he devoted) an exhibition in Naples, that welcomes many international artists. My purpose, with this enterprise, is to put at tour disposal, and of all the other artists, the gallery such as a lab, like a Phoenix Room of artistic languages of our times. At the end of the cycle I want to realize a great exhibition in a public space, including at least one work of each artist who takes part and a great catalogue to spread in an international artistic circle.
